WHAT ARE WE?
NFT Meets Live TheatreOur NFT project is the brainchild of Graham & Townley Productions – a theatre production company based in London.
THEATRE FUNDING – A PROBLEM
We noticed that funding live performance is becoming increasingly difficult and is usually dependent on a small number of high-net-worth individuals or institutions.
The difficulties associated with traditional funding threatens theatre’s affordability & accessibility, it undermines creativity & artistic risk taking, and often results in artists and creatives losing control or ownership of their work.
We knew something needed to change and we created this NFT project to help solve these difficulties!
DEMOCRATISATION THROUGH NFT UTILITY
Our NFT project will harness the NFT space to address theatre’s funding problems. This hasn’t been done before.
We’ve partnered with the amazing new musical Blodlina: The Viking Musical to create our first project – The Viking NFT: Blodlina Sword Series.
We aim to have an industry-wide impact by demonstrating NFTs can be part-of an important and sustainable solution to the funding crisis facing theatre.
GT PRODUCERS COLLECTIVE
A NEW NFT COMMUNITY
We’ve created a new community – The GT Producers Collective – to bring together likeminded people interested in Theatre & NFT art!
Everyone who holds an NFT from our collection will automatically be granted membership to the GT Producers Collective.
COMMUNITY BENEFITS AND INVOLVEMENT
Members of the GT Producers Collective will be given exclusive insight to the theatre production process, behind the scenes access to cast & rehearsals, invitations & free-entry to events, discounted tickets (& real world) merch, as well as priority access to future NFT drops!
In the future, as the GT Producers Collective grows, community members will be given the opportunity to become more involved in the theatre production process – actively shaping how productions are developed.
THE VIKING NFT
EXCEPTIONAL AND UNIQUE DIGITAL ART
The Blodlina Sword Series is the first NFT released by the GT Producers Collective.
Our artworks have been meticulously designed by the acclaimed digital artist Laurence Mann. Each artwork will feature a unique and intricately detailed sword design. Every sword will be made up of different ‘parts’ (e.g. pommel, blade, handle, etc.) – and the different combinations of these elements will determine each artwork’s rarity and collectability.
It is, of course, directly inspired by Blodlina, the show that it is supporting.
This first NFT drop is live and limited to 1000 artworks. Check out here for more information about the swords and their design.
NFT AS MEMORABILIA
Not only is each NFT is an extraordinary artwork in its own right, but it also functions as a new form of theatre memorabilia.
Over the past decade, memorabilia associated with live shows (like Hamilton, Les Miserables, Cats, and Phantom of the Opera) has exploded in popularity and value.
The Viking NFT gives you the opportunity to own one of the first items of publicly available Blodlina memorabilia.
Why buy the NFT?
We believe projects like ours are the way forward for NFTs as it offers so much more than just owning a piece of digital art.
